Munich
Your wedding photographer for Munich
I photograph weddings in Munich in a documentary, unposed style, from the registry office and your portraits on the Isar or in the English Garden to the first dance. A wedding film is available on request.
I speak English, German and Romanian, so we can plan everything in English. Western Munich is about 50 minutes from Landsberg am Lech via the A96, and travel is included in every district.
Registry office
Which registry offices are there in Munich?
Popular dates, especially Saturdays, go early. Ceremonies are held in German; if one of you doesn’t speak German well enough, you’ll need an interpreter.
Mandlstraße by the English Garden
Up to 30 people, and your portraits begin in the park a few steps from the door.
Ruppertstraße
Two modern ceremony rooms for up to 30 people each, on some Saturdays too.
New Town Hall on Marienplatz
Up to 90 people, but only a few dates a year, allocated by lottery.
Pasing registry office
For Pasing, Aubing and Allach, right on my way into the city.
Church wedding
Whether photos may be taken during the ceremony is up to the parish; I clarify that in advance.
Photo locations
The most beautiful spots for couple photos in Munich
On sunny days the well-known spots get busy, so timing matters.
English Garden
The Monopteros, meadows and streams, calmest away from the main paths and in the early evening.
Nymphenburg Palace Park
Canal, avenues and baroque facade. No permit needed, but no flash, no drones and no driving up in the wedding car.
Hofgarten & Odeonsplatz
Arcades, the Temple of Diana and the Theatine Church, minutes from Marienplatz.
Along the Isar
Gravel banks and bridges for natural portraits in evening light, right in the city.
Olympic Park
The tent roof and the view from the Olympiaberg: a modern alternative to palace and old town.

Celebrations
Celebrating in Munich and the countryside
Many Munich couples marry in the city and celebrate in the countryside, for example on Lake Starnberg, at Lake Ammersee or in the Five Lakes region. Travel stays included there too.
Because traffic is hard to predict, we build buffers between ceremony, portraits and celebration.

Mandlstraße by the English Garden, Ruppertstraße and, on a few dates, the New Town Hall. The Pasing registry office covers the western districts.
The few dates are allocated by lottery. It’s worth entering, but plan an alternative such as Mandlstraße.
Yes, without registration, but without flash equipment or drones. I prefer natural light anyway.
Yes, but the ceremony is in German, and the registry office may require an interpreter. The photography side I can handle entirely in English.
